American Pickers” is planning to film in West Michigan this July and they are looking to feature people from our area with unique collections.

“American Pickers” is a documentary series that airs on The History Channel. The series searches for historically significant or rare items. The show’s name refers to the art of antique “picking.”

Producers with the show called the Byron Center Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday in their search for a location to do a photo shoot.

The show is looking for unique collections and people. It does not feature stores, flea markets, malls, museums, auction houses, or anything that’s open to the public.

If you or someone you know has a collection you’d like to be considered, email producers at americanpickers@cineflix.com or call 646-493-2184.
